Fillmore County is a county in the state of Nebraska in the United States . The county seat is Geneva .

The county is located in southeast Nebraska, about 25 miles south of Kansas , and has an area of ​​1,493 square kilometers with no significant body of water. The following counties border Fillmore County:

history

Fillmore County was formed in 1856. It was named after President Millard Fillmore .

According to the 2000 census , Fillmore County had 6,634 people. Of these, 264 lived in collective accommodation, the other residents lived in 2,689 households and 1,801 families. The population density was 4 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 97.8 percent white, 0.2 percent African American, 0.4 percent Native American, 0.1 percent Asian and 0.8 percent from other ethnic groups; 0.7 percent were descended from two or more races.
