Dodge County is a county in the state of Nebraska in the United States . The county seat is Fremont , named after John C. Frémont , an early explorer of the area.

According to the 2000 census , Dodge County had 36,160 people. Of these, 1,173 residents were housed in collective accommodation, the other residents lived in 14,433 households and 9,756 families. The population density was 26 inhabitants per square kilometer.
