Football League First Division 1924/25

The Football League First Division 1925/26 was the 34th season of the highest English football league . It began on August 29, 1925 and ended on May 1, 1926.

Huddersfield Town defended last year’s title five points ahead of Arsenal , winning the third English championship in a row and in the club’s history as a whole. Both newly promoted Leicester City and Manchester United could hold the class; instead, Manchester City and Notts County had to move into the Second Division . These two clubs should be replaced in the following season by the two second division promoted The Wednesday and Derby County .

A total of 557 players were used, with FC Birmingham with 21 the fewest and Manchester United with 30 the most players in league games. 143 newcomers opposed 138 footballers who last came into play in the 1925/26 season. 11 players were able to play all 42 league games of their club.

    The Huddersfield Town championship team

The following list lists all players who were used in a league game for Huddersfield Town during the 1925/26 season. It must be noted that in English football a minimum number of games is usually required in order to receive the official championship medal. Since there was uncertainty about the specific regulation before the introduction of the Premier League, all players who presumably did not receive a championship medal due to their low contribution were marked with an asterisk (*). The number of missions and the goals scored are given in brackets.
