Border between Italy and Austria
The Italian-Austrian state border is a 404 km long land border along the Alps between the Republic of Italy and the Republic of Austria . It has existed since 1861, in the current course since 1920, and has been an EU internal border since January 1, 1995. The boundary was last changed in 1947.

The Landshuter Europahütte in the Zillertal Alps is located on both Austrian and Italian territory.
Between 1938 and 1945 Austria was annexed by the German Reich , so that the German Reich bordered directly on Italy.
