The then Thuringian regional bishop Werner Leich finally laid the foundation stone. Zimmersupra-Kirche-1.JPG Room supra Bindersleben St. Jacobus Church Ev. One of the sights of the community is the church. The mighty west tower of the church still comes from the first church building in 1494. The nave was rebuilt around 1725 in the Baroque style, with a polygonal choir closure and mansard roof. The tower was raised and got a slate dome. A large part of the original painting has been preserved in the interior. The church has an organ by the Erfurt organ builder Franciscus Volckland from 1738. The pulpit altar with the figures of Moses and John the Baptist and the east choir are particularly worth seeing. The parish, the friends' association, the church district, the Free State of Thuringia, the State Monuments Office and, last but not least, the German Foundation for Monument Protection contributed over 100,000 euros to the restoration work between 1996 and 2010 . In 1998/99 the organ was also revised and its original sound condition restored. ! 550.9897225510.871056550 ° 59 ′ 23 "N, 10 ° 52 ′ 16" E

Note: The state borders of the district of Gotha are not identical to the borders of the areas of responsibility of the church offices. Therefore, not all churches mentioned in the superintendent's listings are listed here. Example: The Behringen rectory is part of the Gotha superintendent, but its parish is outside the Gotha district, namely in the Wartburg district.
