List of socialist and communist organizations
Socialist parties and organizations often have values similar to social democratic parties . Both terms are often used synonymously. Most of the socialist or social democratic parties are united in the Socialist International . Communist parties usually, but not always, advocate a revolutionary way to achieve change.
Many former socialist or communist parties today describe themselves as social democratic. Trotskyist organizations often refer to themselves as socialist or communist parties.
