Maubec is about 40 kilometers southeast of Lyon . Maubec is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Domarin in the north and northwest, Bourgoin-Jallieu in the north, Meyrie in the east, Les Éparres in the southeast, Saint-Agnin-sur-Bion in the south, Crachier in the southwest and Chèzeneuve in the west.
