The Nissan Pivo is a concept car from the car manufacturer Nissan , which was presented at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show . The design was created by Takashi Murakami. This 2700 mm long, 1600 mm wide and 1660 mm high car was to be used in the future in urban areas. It gets its power from two electric motors that can control all four wheels individually as required. The highlight of the concept car is the passenger cabin, which can be rotated 360 degrees to get out of parking spaces even more easily. A large sliding door reveals the area inside the vehicle where passengers can be seated on three seats. The Pivo is equipped with technical innovations such as a telematics system, with which the audio system is only controlled with simple hand movements up or down.

Pivo II

Nissan Pivo 2007

The successor was presented at the Tokyo Motor Show 2007. It should offer even more power and advanced techniques. For example, there is an all-round monitor and a distance control system on board. Otherwise it offers the same equipment and engines as the Pivo 2005.
