The 2010 Rogers Cup was the 109th edition of the tennis hard court tournament in Montreal . It was part of the 2010 WTA Tour as a Premier 5 category tournament . The tournament began on August 16, 2010 and should end on August 22, 2010. Due to rain, the two semi-finals and the final of the individual competition were held on August 23, 2010. It is the fourth competition in the US Open Series , the preparatory series for the US Open .

Defending champion in singles was Jelena Dementjewa and in doubles Nuria Llagostera Vives and María José Martínez Sánchez .
