Ted Deutch
Theodore E. "Ted" Deutch (born May 7, 1966 in Bethlehem , Pennsylvania ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party . Since 2010 he has represented the (DP) for the US state Florida in the US House of Representatives .
Career
Ted Deutch studied at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor until 1988 . After a subsequent law degree at the same university and his admission, he worked as a lawyer in Florida from 1990.
Between 2007 and 2010 he was a member of the Florida Senate .
After the resignation of the MP Robert Wexler on January 3, 2010 Deutch was elected in the due by-election in the 19th Congressional electoral district of Florida as his successor in the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC . There he took up his new mandate on April 13, 2010. From 2013 to 2017 he represented the 21st constituency of his state, after a reorganization of the constituencies as a result of a ruling by the Supreme Court of Florida, since 2017 the 22nd congressional electoral district. He is or was a member of the Justice Committee , the Ethics Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee, as well as a total of four sub-committees.
Ted Deutch is married and has three children; privately he lives with his family in Boca Raton .
