Henry Jude "Trey" Radel III (born April 20, 1976 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is an American journalist and politician . In 2013 and 2014 he represented the state of Florida in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Trey Radel studied communication science and Italian at Loyola University in Chicago until 1999 . He received an actor and comedian training. Then he worked as a journalist. He worked as both a television presenter and a reporter. He worked for CNN and CBS in various cities across the United States. He hosted talk shows on both television and radio. He also got into the newspaper business. Then he founded the conservative media company Trey Communications LLC . Together with his wife, he also called the non-profit organization U.S. Forces Fund to help American soldiers wounded abroad return home. Politically, he joined the Republican Party .

In the congressional elections of 2012, cycling 63% of the vote against was Democrat Jim Roach in the 19th  electoral district of Florida in the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC chosen, where he succeeds on January 3, 2013 Ted Deutch took the moved to the 21st district. After he came into conflict with the law over drug possession, his party urged him to resign. He has not taken part in any congressional votes since November 2013. On January 27, 2014, he stepped down from Congress. Curt Clawson was elected to succeed him in June .
