The Columbiana County is a county in the US state of Ohio . At the 2010 census , the county had 107,841 people and a population density of 78.2 people per square kilometer. The county seat is Lisbon .
geography
The county is located in northeast Ohio and is separated from West Virginia to the southeast by the Ohio River ; to the east it borders Pennsylvania. Columbiana County has an area of 1,386 square kilometers, of which seven square kilometers are water. It borders on the following counties:

history
Columbiana County was formed on March 25, 1803 from parts of Jefferson County and Washington County. It was named after Christopher Columbus , who is commonly credited with the discovery of America , and a now unknown by the name of Anna .
One place in the county has the status of a National Historic Landmark , the Beginning Point of the US Public Land Survey . 44 buildings and sites in the county are on the National Register of Historic Places (as of April 12, 2018).
