Trumbull County is a county in the US state of Ohio . The county seat is Warren .

The county is located almost in the extreme northeast of Ohio, borders Pennsylvania to the east and has an area of 1,644 square kilometers, of which 47 square kilometers are water. It is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Ashtabula County , Crawford County, Pennsylvania, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, Mahoning County , Portage County, and Geauga County .
history
Trumbull County was formed on July 10, 1800 from parts of Jefferson County and Wayne County. It was named after Jonathan Trumbull senior , a friend and aide-de-camp of George Washington and the governor of Connecticut .
The county has a National Historic Landmark , the Harriet Taylor Upton House . 36 buildings and sites in the county are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (as of May 19, 2018).

Trumbull County's population was 225,116 as of the 2000 census . Of these, 4088 people lived in collective accommodation, the other residents lived in 89,020 households and 61,690 families. The population density was 141 inhabitants per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 90.21 percent white, 7.90 percent African American, 0.15 percent Native American, 0.45 percent Asian, 0.02 percent from the Pacific island area and 0.21 percent from other ethnic groups Groups; 1.07 percent were descended from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.80 percent of the population.
Of the 89,020 households, 29.9 percent had children and young people under the age of 18 living with them. 52.9 percent were married couples living together, 12.5 percent were single mothers, 30.7 percent were non-families, 26.9 percent were single households and 11.4 percent had people aged 65 years or over. The average household size was 2.48 and the average family size was 3.02.
For the entire county, the population was composed of 24.4 percent of residents under the age of 18, 7.7 percent between 18 and 24 years of age, 27.3 percent between 25 and 44 years of age, and 24.8 percent between 45 and 64 years of age 15.7 percent were 65 years of age or over. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 93.8 males. For every 100 women aged 18 or over there were statistically 90.6 men.
The median income for a household in the county is $ 38,298 , and the median income for a family is $ 46,203. Males had a median income of $ 36,823 versus $ 24,443 for females. The per capita income was $ 19,188. 7.9 percent of families and 10.3 percent of the population were below the poverty line. These included 15.4 percent of children and adolescents under the age of 18 and 7.6 percent of senior citizens aged 65 and over.
