Sablons is a southwestern French municipality with 1314 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Libourne and the canton of Le Nord-Libournais (until 2015: canton of Guîtres )

location

Sablons is about 37 kilometers northeast of Bordeaux . The river Isle forms the western and northern municipal boundaries; the palace limits the community to the south. Sablons is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Guîtres in the north, Coutras in the northeast, Abzac in the east, Saint-Denis-de-Pile in the south, Bonzac in the west and southwest and Saint-Martin-de-Laye in the west and northwest.
