Serres is a French commune with 247 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lunéville and the canton of Lunéville-1 (until 2015: canton of Lunéville-Nord ).

Serres is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Athienville in the north and northeast, Valhey in the east, Einville-au-Jard in the south and southeast, Maixe in the south, Drouville in the southwest, Courbesseaux in the west and Hoéville in the northwest.
