Tribe list of the Árpáden

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Árpáden were originally a Magyar princely family, whose earliest ascertainable ancestor the Grand Duke Álmos, the father of Árpád, who is considered to be the founder of Hungary and the dynasty, presumably still descended from Hungarian equestrian chiefs. Up to AD 1000, the sources are not entirely certain, but can only be assumed. The Árpáden ruled Hungary from around 900, Croatia and Dalmatia from 1102 and Rama from 1131 to 1301 AD, until the family was in male line with King Andrew III. went out. In Hungary, the Árpáden were initially replaced by the Přemyslids , but when they became extinct in the same generation, they were replaced by the House of Anjou , a subsidiary branch of the Capetians , and in Croatia even directly by them. The Árpád today have no descendants in direct male line more, only the Scottish Drummond - Clan leads with support from the European Stammtafeln György, a son of dubious legitimacy of Andreas I returned, allegedly returned with Edward Ætheling to Scotland. But this is very controversial. This stem list only includes the male line, illegitimate offspring are not counted either.
