Vœlfling-lès-Bouzonville ( German : Wölflingen bei Busendorf ) is a French commune in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ).

geography

The place is in the north of Lorraine , five kilometers east of Bouzonville and two kilometers from the German-French border ( Saarland ).

history

The village originated as Waulffenigen in the 16th century . Other place names were Woelfling (1793), Vatfling (1801) and Voelfling-lès-Bouzonville (1801).
