In 1818 there were 25 people living in the village. In 1838 Dahlhausen belonged to the Ehringhauser peasantry within the mayor's office of Halver . The place, which was categorized as a courtyard according to the location and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg , had seven residential buildings, a factory or mill and eleven agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 29 residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

The municipality encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia from 1887 gives a number of 54 inhabitants who lived in eight houses.
