The three-cushion European championship in 1952 was the ninth tournament in this discipline of carom and took place from March 15 to 18, 1952 in Lausanne, Switzerland.

history

Defending champion and winner was the Belgian René Vingerhoedt . He was the first to play a general average of over 1,000. The other tournament records also go to his account. With the best individual average ( BED ) of 1.428, he set new standards at an EM. Again Vingerhoedt managed to win without losing a game. The winner of the first EM in 1932 and the only participant from the host country, Alfred Aeberhard, fared differently . He lost all of his games.

After the resumption of the German Billiards Federation in 1951 in the International Union Internationale des Fédérations d'Amateurs de Billiard (UIFAB), a German player took part again for the first time. After Otto Unshelm at the first European Championship in 1932 , August Tiedtke now played and immediately won the title of Vice European Champion.

mode

The game was “everyone against everyone” to 50 points with an equal number of shots .
