The three-cushion European championship in 1965 was the 23rd tournament in this discipline of carom billiards and took place from March 18 to 21, 1965 in Vienna . It was the first three-cushion European championship in Austria.

history

The Belgian Raymond Ceulemans secured the fourth title in a row, unbeaten . Just as confidently the second place of the two-time European champion Johann Scherz from Austria. For the German representative Ernst Rudolph , the tournament was a bit unfortunate. With a win against the Portuguese Vieira and a draw against the Spaniard Munté, he had to accept extremely narrow defeats against the roughly equally strong opponents and thus only finished last.

mode

The game was played in the system “everyone against everyone” to 60 points with additional push / equal intake .
