The Sattler ( 1007 m above sea level ) is a pass that connects the Styrian towns of Etmißl and St. Katharein an der Laming .
A narrow road leads over the pass, only the south side is paved.
In the immediate vicinity is the Lärchegg ( 1020 m above sea level ), a pass connection that is a little higher, but shorter. In earlier times the Lärchegg was used on foot and the saddler was reserved for wagons.
French cross
Disseminated French crossed the Lärchegg in 1809 and buried their dead here, as the wooden chapel Franzosenkreuz , built in 1815, commemorates. The French who moved on were stoned by locals in the Marienklamm in Tragöß.
