Guenviller (German Genweiler ) is a French commune with 645 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ).

geography

The place is in the north of the historic Lorraine region , about eight kilometers from the German-French border, four kilometers south of Hombourg-Haut . The Nied Allemande river has its source in the southernmost municipality .
