Hausen ( listen ^{? / I} ) is a municipality in the Birkenfeld district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Herrstein-Rhaunen community .

The village of Hausen is centrally located in the Hahnenbach Valley in the Hunsrück . To the west is Rhaunen , in the north Oberkirn , east Woppenroth and south is Bundenbach . The community also includes the Birkenhof, Brunnenbergerhof and Sonnenhof residential areas .

Economy and Infrastructure

There is a village community center in the village, also called the "old school". It was built in 1928. There are currently two restaurants in operation.
