Leboreiro is a place on the edge of the Camino de Santiago . It is located in the A Coruña province of the autonomous community of Galicia in Spain . Administratively, the place belongs to the municipality of Melide .
The place is mentioned by Aimeric Picaud in his pilgrim guide as "Campus leuurarius" (Hasenfeld), which indicates the relevance of the place for the pilgrimage.
Worth seeing
- St. Mary's Church (Igrexa de Santa Maria), late Romanesque church with a nave, round apse and a statue of Mary in the tympanum .
- Former pilgrims' hospice, opposite the church, on the facade the coat of arms of the Ulloa family, who founded the house in the 12th century.
- Old Roman road northwest of the village with a bridge over the Río Seco. The Way of St. James runs a few hundred meters on its restored route.
