history
The name of the place was until the 19th century with the ending "del Camino Francés". The reference to St. Nicholas , who was considered the patron saint of hikers and pilgrims in the Middle Ages, proves the close connection with the Way of St. James. There are documented possessions of the Knights Templar on site. A pilgrims' hospice is mentioned in French reports under the name “Petit Cavalier” (see Calzadilla de la Cueza with the monastery of Santa Maria de las Tiendas and the hospice “Grand Cavalier”).

- Nicholas Church (Iglesia de San Nicolás) with a Romanesque figure of the Mother of God.
- Ermita Virgen del Puente (in Valdaraduey just before Sahagún), Mudejar-style hermitage with pilgrims' hospice . On April 25, the Ermita is the destination of a pilgrimage, bread and cheese will be distributed on site.
