Espinosa del Camino is a place on the Way of St. James in the province of Burgos in the autonomous community of Castile and León .

Attractions

Parish Church of the Assumption (Iglesia de la Asunción), in the Renaissance style . From 1544 a main chapel (Capilla Mayor) was added by Juan de Landeras and Juan de Carasa. The chapel has a square plan and a star vault and cost 40,000 maravedíes .
Rural architecture. With some old half-timbered houses, Espinosa has very good examples of the rural architecture of this zone, which has become rare.
Ruins of the Monastery of St. Felix (Monasterio des San Felices) Between the village and Villafranca Montes de Oca, on the edge of the Camino de Santiago, there is a decaying apse , the last remaining remnant of the Monastery of San Felix. According to tradition, Count Diego Rodríguez Porcelos , founder of the city of Burgos , was buried here. In 1409 the Mozarabic community was annexed to the monastery of San Millán de la Cogolla .
