Fonfría (San Xoan in Galician ) is a place on the Way of St. James in the province of Lugo in the autonomous community of Galicia , which belongs to the municipality of Pedrafita do Cebreiro .
The place name refers to a source and translated into German would be Kaltenquell . In the Middle Ages, the place housed one of five pilgrims' hospices between O Cebreiro and the nearby Biduedo .
