Hospital da Condesa is a place on the Way of St. James in the province of Lugo in the autonomous community of Galicia , it belongs to Pedrafita do Cebreiro . The place name refers on the one hand to the pilgrims' hospice founded in the 9th century, on the other hand to the founder, Doña Egilo, wife of Count Gatón . The parish church of San Xoán is a single-nave, compact building made of field stones, as can be found with Santo Estevo in the nearby Liñares and other villages in the area.
