Santibáñez de Valdeiglesias is a small town on the Camino de Santiago in the province of León in the Autonomous Community of Castile and León . Administratively it belongs to Villares de Órbigo .
The parish church of Santísima Trinidad used to house two beautiful figures of St. Rochus (patron saint of plague sufferers) and the apostle Jacob as Matamoros (the slayer of the Moors). The figure of St. Rochus can now be seen in the Museum of the Ways (Museo de los Caminos) in Astorga .
The main occupation of the village is agriculture. In addition to dry crops, fruits and vegetables are grown on irrigated areas, and there is a smaller number of livestock farming.
