Población de Campos is a place on the Camino de Santiago in the province of Palencia in the Autonomous Community of Castile and León .

history

The name of the place refers to the "Campi Gothorum" ( Gothic fields) of the Chronica Albeldense , the first part of the word means population, settlement. Documents mention a pilgrims' hospice of the "Caballeros de San Juan" ( Order of St. John ) for the place , of which there is no structural evidence.
