Riego de Ambrós is a very small town on the Camino de Santiago in the province of León in the autonomous community of Castile and León . Administratively, the place belongs to Molinaseca .
In the 12th century there was a pilgrims' hospice here, which has had a modern successor since the 1990s. The single-nave parish church with a right-angled apse is dedicated to St. Magdalena .
The place is located on a winding and steep descent that starts above El Acebo and ends in Molinaseca . Due to previous accidents on this route, cyclists are urged to be more careful.
