The Macomb County is a county in the US state of Michigan . The county seat is Mount Clemens .
Macomb County is part of Metro Detroit , the metropolitan area around the city of Detroit .

The county is located in the southeast of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan in the northeast suburbs of Detroit and borders in the southeast on Lake St. Clair , which forms the border with the Canadian province of Ontario . Macomb County covers an area of 1,476 square kilometers, of which 231 square kilometers are water. It borders on the following neighboring counties:

Macomb County was formed in 1818 from former parts of Wayne County. It was named after Alexander Macomb (1782–1841), a Detroit American general in the war of 1812 .
One place in Macomb County has the status of a National Historic Landmark , the General Motors Technical Center . A total of 15 buildings and sites in the county are registered in the National Register of Historic Places (as of January 26, 2018).
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census , Macomb County had 840,978 people in 330,322 households. The population density was 675.5 inhabitants per square kilometer. Statistically, 2.51 people lived in each of the 330,322 households.
After races divided considered, the population was spread out with 85.4 percent white, 8.6 percent African American, 0.3 percent Native American, 3.0 percent Asian and other races; 2.1 percent were from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race was 2.3 percent of the population .
23.0 percent of the population were under 18 years old, 62.7 percent were between 18 and 64 and 14.3 percent were 65 years or older. 51.4 percent of the population was female.
The median income for a household was 53,996 USD . The per capita income was $ 26,524. 9.8 percent of the population lived below the poverty line.
In Macomb County, both Democratic and Republican MPs are resisting support for neighboring, comparatively poor Detroit.
