Company history

In contrast to other small cars, in some countries the car can be driven without a car driver's license or with a moped driver's license. The vehicles are not registered as cars, but as light vehicles, category L7e.

In France, Aixam is the market leader in terms of quantities in the light vehicle manufacturer segment, ahead of Microcar and Ligier .

Since 1992 a number of vehicles have been manufactured under the brand name "Mega". The 1992 Mega Track was a sports car with up to 12 cylinders. The recreational vehicles Mega Club and Mega Ranch based on Citroën were produced in several engine versions as petrol and diesel from 37 kW (50 HP) to 55 kW (75 HP). Since 2003 the small truck Multitruck and since 2011 the slightly larger eWorker have been produced.
