Mercy is a French municipality with 261 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Moulins and the canton of Moulins-2 (until 2015 Neuilly-le-Réal ).

Mercy is about 17 kilometers southeast of Moulins . Mercy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chapeau in the north, Vaumas in the east, Thionne in the southeast, Saint-Voir in the south and Neuilly-le-Réal in the west.
