Traubach-le-Haut ( Alsatian Ìwertràibàch , German Obertraubach ) is a French commune with 604 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Altkirch and there to the canton Masevaux and is a member of the community association Sud Alsace Largue .

geography

The municipality of Traubach-le-Haut is located in the area of ​​the Burgundian Gate between Belfort and Mulhouse in the outer southwest of Alsace . The Traubach flows through the municipality, which drains over the Largue to the Ill and thus belongs to the catchment area of ​​the Rhine .
