coat of arms

Blazon : “In green over two fan-shaped silver oak leaves crossed on the stems, a golden fountain, consisting of a stone basin, column and two tubes from which golden water flows into the basin. A silver oak leaf on both sides of the fountain column. "

The fountain in Quickborn's coat of arms, built around a natural spring, is a visual allusion to the place name. With its meaning "rapidly gushing spring " this refers to a natural condition as a prerequisite for settlement. The artificial enclosure can be understood as a symbol of the village itself with its inhabitants using the power of nature. Regardless of this, the Quickborn coat of arms belongs to the series of "talking" coats of arms. The oak leaves refer to the oak forest in which the surrounding villages were created by clearing. Quickborn still has a natural landscape, in which the oak is well-known. Until today, the agriculture the main industry in this community. The shield color green symbolizes nature and the traditional rural way of life.
