Basketball Bundesliga 2007/08

The 2008/09 basketball Bundesliga season was the 43rd season of the top German division in men's basketball . The regular season began on September 20, 2008 and ended on May 9, 2009.

Season Notes

After the withdrawal of the Giants Nördlingen on July 9, 2009, the LTi Gießen 46ers appealed against the final table. However, the court of arbitration of the Basketball Bundesliga rejected this. The Cologne 99ers basketball GmbH & Co. KG presented on 10 July 2009 an application for insolvency at the Amtsgericht Köln . On July 17, 2009, she declared that she would not participate in the game operation for the 2009/10 season .
