The second Ford Model B is a middle class passenger car, which was only produced in 1932 by Ford in the USA and also in Cologne-Niehl by the German Ford Motor Company AG (from 1939: Ford-Werke AG) under the name Ford Rheinland as the successor to the model A was produced and sold.
The car had a 4-cylinder in-line engine. The coupe was also called the Deuce Coupe and was a popular hot rod . It was named after the album Little Deuce Coupe of the Beach Boys and Bruce Springsteen Blinded by the Light referenced.
In the same body also was V8 as a Ford Model 18 offered.
The Model B was only produced in the USA in 1932. There were 71,829 pieces. Successor was almost identical Model C .
Similar to its predecessors, there was a parallel truck on the same basis called the Ford Model BB .
Rhineland
Ford Rheinland was the name of the Model B in Germany from 1935. From August 1933 onwards, all vehicles produced by Ford in Cologne bore the label “German product”. The model names were also Germanized. The Model B became the Ford Rheinland . The car had a four-cylinder in-line petrol engine with 3286 cm³ (50 hp), a three-speed gearbox and rear-wheel drive.
In Germany model B and 5575 model Rhineland were produced in 1784.
