Fuhr is a court in Radevormwald in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

Location and description

The Hofschaft is located in the north of the city immediately next to the neighboring Hofschaft Im Kamp . Other neighboring towns are Sondern , Altenhof , Eistringhausen and Önkfeld .

Fuhr is located on Kreisstraße 6 and can be reached via a small access road that previously crossed Im Kamp, as well as from an access road that branches off from state road 310.

The Fuhrer Bach flows into the Eistringhauser Bach in the north of the Hofschaft .

Fuhr belongs to the school district of the community elementary school Wupper. Furthermore, Fuhr is assigned to electoral district 173 in Radevormwald with regard to political representation.

history

In 1520 the place was mentioned for the first time in "church accounts". The first mention was up the Voer .

In 1815/16 the place had 28 inhabitants. In 1832 the place belonged to the parish Remlingrade of the rural outskirts of the mayor's office Radevormwald . The place, which was categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had four residential buildings at the time. 35 residents lived in the village, four of them Catholic and 31 Protestant. In 1888, four houses with 18 inhabitants are listed in the community encyclopedia of the Rhine Province .
