Marschalskoje ( Russian Маршальское , German (Royal) Gallgarben ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It is located in Guryevsk Rajon and belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk district .
Geographical location
Marschalskoje is located 23 kilometers northeast of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) on a side road that leads from Dobrino (Nautzken) on the Russian trunk road A 190 via Novgorodskoje (Mettkeim) and Uslowoje ( (Royal) Neuendorf ) to Pirogowo (Sudnicken) . The railway station is the Bajewka I stop ( Kuggen until 1945 ), eight kilometers away on the Kaliningrad – Sowetsk railway line (Königsberg – Tilsit) . Before 1945 there was also a railway connection via Sudnicken (Russian: Pirogowo) to the Prawten-Schaaksvitte (Lomonossowo– Kaschirskoje ) railway of the Königsberg small railway .
history
The founding of the village dates back to 1317. From 1874 to 1945 Gallgarben was the seat and eponymous place of the newly created district of Gallgarben, which belonged to the district of Königsberg (Prussia) (1939 to 1945 district of Samland ) in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia .
Two kilometers to the north was a place of the same name (now Russian: Opuschki ), which was given the addition of noble . In return, the official village of Gallgarben was called royal . In 1910 lived in Noble Gallgarben 78 in Royal Gallgarben 326 inhabitants. On September 30, 1928, the rural community of Königlich Gallgarben and the manor district of Adlig Gallgarben merged to form the new rural community of Gallgarben.
The population of this newly formed municipality was 500 in 1933, it increased to 557 by 1939, after the neighboring village of Dogehnen (Russian: Chlebnikowo, no longer existent) was incorporated on October 1, 1935.
As a result of the Second World War , Gallgarben came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia and was renamed "Marschalskoje" in 1947. At the same time, the place was classified in the Dorfsovjet Saliwenski selski Sowet . In 1954, Marshalkoye itself became the seat of a village soviet. From 2008 to 2013 the place belonged to the rural community Khrabrowskoje selskoje posselenije and since its dissolution to the urban district Guryevsk.

Gallgarben District (1874–1945)

At the beginning of 1945 the four communities Gallgarben, Kropiens, Neuendorf and Perwissau still belonged to the Gallgarben district.
Marschalski selski Sowet / okrug 1954–2008
The village soviet Marschalski selski Sowet (ru. Маршальский сельский Совет) was set up in June 1954 as a merger of the two dissolved village soviets Kashirski selski Sowet and Saliwenski selski Sowet . At this point or a little later, some places from the Kosmodemjanski selski Sowet were also connected. After the collapse of the Soviet Union , the administrative unit existed as the village district of Marschalski selski okrug (ru. Маршальский сельский округ). In 2008 the remaining places in the village district were incorporated into the newly formed rural community Khrabrovskoje selskoje posselenije .

The place Kijewskoje (smith's tendons ) , which initially belonged to the Kaschirski selski Sowet until 1954 , then probably belonged to the Marschalski selski Sowet (at least) until 1958, before it was then incorporated into the Muromski selski Sowet in the Primorsk district ( Zelenogradsk district ).
church
Before 1945 the inhabitants of Gallgarben were almost exclusively of Protestant denomination. They were parish in the parish of Schaaken with seat in Schemtschuschnoje (church Schaaken) , which belonged to the parish of Königsberg-Land II in the church province of East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union . Today there is a small Evangelical Lutheran parish itself in Marschalskoje as a center for the surrounding villages. It is a subsidiary of the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) within the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
