The state constituency of Herne I is a state constituency in North Rhine-Westphalia . With Herne, Sodingen and sink it includes three of the four Herner municipalities. Eickel was assigned to the regional constituency of Bochum III - Herne II .

The constituency has held this area since 2005. Before that there were two constituencies in Herne, Herne I included Herne and Sodingen, Herne II included Wanne and Eickel. For the state elections in 2000 , the constituencies were reformed for the first time, so that the constituency of Herne I - Bochum IV was expanded to include part of Bochum , after this was also the case with the Herne constituency .
