Yugoslavia took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in the US metropolis of Atlanta with 68 athletes, 9 women and 59 men, in 13 sports.

Flag bearer

The water polo player Igor Milanović carried the flag of Yugoslavia during the opening ceremony on July 19 at the Centennial Olympic Stadium .

With a recovered gold, a silver and two bronze, the Yugoslav team was ranked 41 in the medal count .
