Attractions
- The parish church of Santo Stefano was enlarged to its present size in the 15th century: three large naves divided into four bays, bordered at the ends by six monolithic columns from pietra di Saltrio and surmounted by capitals.
- Church of Santa Maria Nascente, called Madonnina , was built in 1718 on the site of a small votive chapel that was built as an ex-voto against the plague .
- Church of San Martino with an elegant 16th century portal (with the Longhi coat of arms in the middle) has a deep hall plan and reflects the simplicity that characterizes its exterior; the altarpiece shows the crucifixion . The building, originally the first parish church in Viggiù, became the private chapel of the Longhi family in the 17th century.
- Madonna della Croce church, also called Beata vergine Assunta; the facade in the clear neo- renaissance style was built in the middle of the 19th century according to a design by Giacomo Buzzi Leone. The main parts are: portals, windows, architectural elements in Viggiù stone; on the sides of the facade are terracotta medallions by the sculptor Luigi Buzzi Leone with the following images: Moses on the left, David on the right. The interior preserves a painting by an unknown artist towards the end of the 15th century and attributed to the school of Ambrogio da Fossano, called Bergognone, it depicts the Virgin and Child seated on a rich Gothic throne.
