Denmark
- April 11th : The Aarhus-based production company Fotorama publishes the silent film Den hvide slavehandel on the subject of trafficking in girls . On August 2 appears from the Nordisk Film approximately twice as long film The white slave by August Blom on the same subject, resulting in a plagiarism process.
- October 6 : Dorian Gray's Portræt , the first film adaptation of Oscar Wilde's novel Das Bildnis des Dorian Gray , premieres in Denmark.
- November 28 : Urban Gad film Afgrunden ( depths ) is in Dusseldorf shown for the first time in Germany. The Danish film, in which Asta Nielsen celebrates her debut in the lead role, lasts 45 minutes and is considered to be the first full-length film in Europe.

- June 25th : The children's comedy A misfortune in the nursery of Alfred Duskes with Hilde Müller and Lotte Müller has its world premiere .
- July 1st : The silent film The Reason of the Heart by Charles Decroix premieres.
- From August 20 , the five-piece is Serial Arsène Lupine contra Sherlock Holmes by Jules Greenbaum published. Viggo Larsen plays the role of Sherlock Holmes , Paul Otto his opponent Arsène Lupine .

- March 18 : With Frankenstein by director James Searle Dawley , the first film adaptation of Mary Shelley 's novel of the same name comes to the cinemas. The monster is played by Charles Ogle .
