March 4th - World premiere of Nosferatu - A Symphony of Horror . This film, directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau , is considered to be one of the first representatives of the horror film . With his visual design, he had a huge impact on the genre.
September 27th - World premiere of The Power of Love (directed by Nat G. Deverich and Harry K. Fairall ). This film is considered the first 3D feature film .
October 18 - Grauman's Egyptian Theater is with the film Robin Hood of Douglas Fairbanks opens. It is the first major world premiere in Hollywood.
