Saint-Cyr is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Varennes-le-Grand in the north and north-west, Marnay in the north and north-east, Gigny-sur-Saône in the east and south-east, Sennecey-le-Grand in the south, and Beaumont-sur-Grosne in the west Southwest and Saint-Ambreuil to the west and northwest.
