Samuel "Sam" B. Graves (* 7. November 1963 in Tarkio , Atchison County , Missouri ) is an American politician of the Republican Party and since 2001 a member of the US House of Representatives for Missouri .


After attending Tarkio High School , he studied at the University of Missouri from 1982 and 1986 , graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (BA).

He began his political career in 1992 with the election to the House of Representatives from Missouri , in which he represented the Republicans until 1994. He was then a member of the Missouri Senate from 1994 to 2000 .

In 2000 he was elected to the US House of Representatives for the first time and has represented Missouri's 6th Congressional electoral district since January 3, 2001, after nine re-elections so far, including the one in 2018 . He was chairman of the Committee on Small Business until 2015 . He is also a member of the Transport Committee and a total of three sub-committees. He was previously a member of the Agriculture Committee .
