Edward Robb (born March 19, 1857 in Brazeau , Perry County , Missouri , †  March 13, 1934 in Perryville , Missouri) was an American politician . Between 1897 and 1905 he represented the state of Missouri in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Edward Robb attended his homeland public schools and the Fruitland Normal Institute . He then studied at the University of Missouri . After a subsequent law degree at the same university and his admission as a lawyer in 1879, he began to work in Perryville in this profession. Between 1880 and 1884 Robb served as the prosecutor in Perry County. At the same time he began a political career as a member of the Democratic Party . From 1884 to 1886 he was a member of the Missouri House of Representatives ; from 1889 to 1893 he was the Assistant Attorney General of Missouri.

In the congressional election of 1896 Robb was elected to the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the 13th  constituency of Missouri , where he succeeded John Henry Raney on March 4, 1897 . After three re-elections, he was able to complete four legislative terms in Congress by March 3, 1905 . During this time the Spanish-American War of 1898 fell . In 1904 Robb was defeated by Republican Marion E. Rhodes . In 1908 he was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Denver , where William Jennings Bryan was nominated for the third time as a presidential candidate. As a result, Edward Robb practiced again as a lawyer. He died in Perryville on March 13, 1934.
