Charles L. Faust

Charles Lee Faust (born April 24, 1879 in Bellefontaine , Ohio , †  December 17, 1928 in Washington, DC ) was an American politician . Between 1921 and 1928 he represented the state of Missouri in the US House of Representatives .

Career

In his youth, Charles Faust and his parents moved to a farm near Highland , Kansas . He attended public schools in his new home as well as Highland University . Between 1898 and 1900 he worked as a teacher in Highland. After studying law at the University of Kansas at Lawrence and his admission to the bar in 1903, he began to work in this profession in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Between 1915 and 1919 he was also the city's legal advisor.

Politically, Faust was a member of the Republican Party . In the congressional election of 1920 he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington in the fourth constituency of Missouri, where he succeeded the late Charles F. Booher on March 4, 1921 . After three re-elections, he could remain in Congress until his death in the Naval Hospital in Washington on December 17, 1928 . He was buried in his former home, Highland.
