Edward C. Kehr

Edward Charles Kehr (born November 5, 1837 in St. Louis , Missouri , †  April 20, 1918 there ) was an American politician . Between 1875 and 1877 he represented the state of Missouri in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Edward Kehr enjoyed an academic education. After a subsequent law degree and his admission to the bar in 1858, he began to work in St. Louis in this profession. At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Democratic Party . In the congressional elections of 1874 he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the first constituency of Missouri , where he succeeded Edwin O. Stanard on March 4, 1875 . Since he was not confirmed in 1876, he could only serve one term in Congress until March 3, 1877 .

After leaving the US House of Representatives, Edward Kehr practiced law again. Politically, he no longer appeared. He died on April 20, 1918 in St. Louis.
